Visit Me at the Gold Canyon Art Festival Jan 28, 2017

I am so pleased to have been accepted into the Gold Canyon Arts Festival for 2017 and would like to invite all of you to come and see me January 28, 2017.

The Gold Canyon Arts Festival is a much-anticipated community celebration produced each year by the all-volunteer Gold Canyon Arts Council. It is a one-day event featuring a large art show, musical groups performing throughout the day and a variety of food vendors. In 2012, over six thousand people attended to peruse the art work of 100 artists and to listen to 5 musical groups performing. Many participating artists say this is the best one day art show held in the state.

The Festival will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, on the grounds of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church at 6640 S. King’s Ranch Rd. in Gold Canyon.

The Festival opens at 9:00 AM and runs to 4:00 PM.

Admission and parking are free.

Festival attenders receive a program at the entry gates with a list of specific artists, their specialty and their booth number and an agenda for the musical performances.

I have always been attracted to all things natural and earthy. As a bead artist living here in the southwest desert I am surrounded by wonderful lapidary folks giving me access to unusual cuts of jasper and agates that lend themselves to the unique "one of a kind' beaded jewelry I design. Working with natural stones and seed beads which I embroider onto leather or suede using my own original designs with native stitches and techniques I sew or loom each piece individually.
