THE MOROCCAN necklace is a stunning combination of color and design. The focal point, an oblong Cherry Creek jasper cabochon, with its shades of magenta, caramel and greys compels a look deep into the stone.
A variety of seed beads stitched in fan shapes connect the cabochon to two red jasper stones and carry the eye up the sides of the necklace as waves of color and shapes embrace the wearers neck ending with a copper hook and eye toggle.
The Cherry Creek stone measures 3 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches in width including the surrounding beading. The necklace is 7 inches at its widest point and each side is 7 inches from the center of the Cherry Creek jasper to the tip of the toggle.
Although not a choker style necklace this piece does lay high on the chest and looks fabulous with a more formal blouse or dress, or even as a bold statement under a boy-friend style shirt with jeans.
The Moroccan is an ageless piece of unique jewelry that can be yours to keep or give as a gift.
I have always been attracted to all things natural and earthy. As a bead artist living here in the southwest desert I am surrounded by wonderful lapidary folks giving me access to unusual cuts of jasper and agates that lend themselves to the unique "one of a kind' beaded jewelry I design. Working with natural stones and seed beads which I embroider onto leather or suede using my own original designs with native stitches and techniques I sew or loom each piece individually.Website: www.gaudybyneola.com
